My Veranda Suite was a generous 35 square metres, but if youprefer more space the Owners Suite is 114 square metres with butlerservice, whirlpool and day bed in the bathroom, and a shower withits own steam sauna. The TV screen in your suite has a sectiondevoted to your first day on board, with a few tips on what to dofirst such as reserving the speciality restaurants. Don't expectthe usual chocolate on your pillow; I was greeted by healthy treatseach evening plus a trio of colourful, freshly baked macarons witha note asking if I would like any fresh fruit. Unlike other Hapag-Lloyd cruise ships, Europa 2 is a less formal (no formal dress code), more contemporary and family-oriented vacationship.
The mini bar is complementary and came stocked with welcome champagne, beer and soft drinks. All suites aboard the MS Europa 2 have their own veranda and at least 28 square meters of living space. From the bathroom of the Ocean Suites you can look directly at the sea.

The inaugural itinerary visited ports in Holland (Amsterdam), Belgium (Antwerp), France (Honfleur, La Rochelle, Bordeaux), Spain (Bilbao) and Portugal (Leixoes-Oporto) ending in Lisbon. The ship does attract some English-speakers, primarily from the U.K., Hong Kong and North America. On our fully booked sailing, 40 non-German travelers and just a handful of Americans were aboard. Passengers tend to be 40 and over, though you'll spot a younger demographic during European school holidays.
While onboard, I particularly liked the professional dance show in the ships theater. When you have a cruising itinerary from Spain’s Palma de Mallorca to Portugal’s Lisbon, there’s little doubt that the ports of call would be nothing short of spectacular.
